Habitat:

A plant that grows in tropical and subtropical regions. It's native to the Mediterranean region and is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental shrub. 

Flowering Season:

It flowers from April to August.

Fruiting Season:

It fruits all the year round.

Climatic conditions:

It prefers temperatures between 60–85°F (15–29°C). It can tolerate light frost, but temperatures below 20°F (-6°C) may damage the plant.

Seed propagation:

The ideal germination temperature is around 20°C (68°F). Most seeds will germinate within a month, but it can take up to 90 days.

Parts used:

Roots: The seare used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including skin diseases, headaches, and scorpion and snake bites.

Leaves :leaves are used for a variety of medicinal purposes, including as a heart tonic, diuretic, and expectorant

Flowers: It used in  treating malaria in traditional form of medicine.
