Habitat:

foothills of the Himalayas and the western Deccan Plateau, east to Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia.

Flowering:

January to April (to July). Small, greenish-yellow flowers bloom in drooping panicle clusters

fruiting:

March to July.

Climatic Conditions:

 warm tropical climates with temperatures between 25°C to 35°C  high rainfall(1,200 to 3,000 mm.) and high humidity

Seed propagation:

 It is propagated by seeds, which should be sown in a nursery bed in spring.  It prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
